APC warns Obaseki over attacks on Oshiomole

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo North senatorial district, has promised to stop alleged attempts by the government of Edo state to tarnish the image of the national chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole

The party Heads in the senatorial district has asked the governor, Godwin Obaseki to call his media team to order, they alleged that they had embarked on a campaign of calumny against Oshiomole, with a view to rubbish the legacies of Oshiomole.

After a meeting on Monday, the leaders made the call in a communique signed by, Ahmed Musa Month, High Chief Aloye, Chief (Alhaji) Usman Mogaji Charlton.

The communique read “The meeting passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Oshiomole. We gathered to publicly react to the publication in the Nation’s Newspaper, which tends to portray in bad lights the party primaries conducted by the Oshiomole led NWC.

“We have no doubts that the advert was orchestrated by those Osadebey Avenue who rose to power and forgot how they got there. We condemn the allegations and urged the State government to stop playing hide and seek game in it’s attempts to rubbish the legacies of Oshiomole, which we will suddenly resist.

“The leaders also reaffirmed that the National Chairman remains the undisputed leader of the APC in Edo North and Edo state respectively. They resolved to stand by him and also stand for him at all times.

“The leaders warned those who plan to destroy the hard-earned amiable character and reputation of the National Chairman of the APC to desist from such unwholesome practice.

The communique stated that the meeting was attended by 64 leaders of the senatorial district.
