Appointment: Oyo Government appoints new Due Process DG
The government of Oyo State has appointed Ms Tara Adefope as the new Director General of the Due Process Office
This was in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr Taiwo Adisa while he spoke with journalists in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.
According to the statement “The new DG is a United Kingdom trained lawyer, who holds a LLB law (Hons) degree from the University of Leicester, and Msc in degree in cooperate governance and business ethics from the Brikbek University of London.
“Ms Adefope is a professional with broad experience in governance, risk, regulation and compliance with experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
“She began her career in UK at a governance advisory firm and she subsequently hold some positions before returning to Nigeria, where her career progressed within the banking sector, she held many positions within the remit of compliance.
“She then joined the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank, she led corporate governance activities in Nigeria, and Ghana on the Africa corporate governance program.
“The program provides corporate governance interventions to companies, organisations and market intermediaries, across the sub-Saharan Africa.
The statement also said that the new DG before her appointment has held many consulting roles and she’s passionate about private and public sector development.
