CAF: CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad arrested
Confederation of African Football (CAF), President, Ahmad Ahmad has been arrested at a Hotel in Paris, on Thursday
The arrest according to reports is as a result of bridge of contract by CAF with Puma (German equipment company), to engage with the technical steel of the company, based on La-seyne-sur-mer.
Reports by the African Newspaper Jeune Afrique, Ahmad was in France where he was to attend a FIFA congress.
The reports gathered that, the CAF President has signed a deal which benefitted the Technical steel of the company, with one of the bosses of the company, said to have paid the sum of €73,000 to the CAF President, in order to sanction the deal.
The case will be heard by the Central office of fight against corruption and financial and fiscal offences (OCLIF).
