CAN blames Christians for continuous prosecution of the Church
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), blames Christians for continuous prosecution, across Nigeria
Olasupo Ayokunle, the President of CAN, lamented that the Christians lack boldness like Esther to fight for their faith, which cause the continued prosecution.
In his words “Most Christians in politics, place political advantage above the spiritual and that have contributed to the continued prosecution of the Church in Nigeria.
While, he spoke at a breakfast meeting with the Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN), tagged “Christian Response to Global Prosecution” in Lagos, he said that the inability of churches to own a “Certificate of occupancy” is against the Nigerian Constitution.
Ayokunle said that the increase rate of kidnapping and other banditry will come to an end, if the current administration can provide employment for the youths, stating that an idle mind is a willing tool for the Devil.
He also spoke on the lack of unity among Christians, to speak with oneness.
“The church is so rich but cannot put resources together for a single purpose”, Ayokunle said.
