The Federal government of Nigeria has raised an alarm that the People’s Democratic Party and it’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar are trying to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari
While speaking at the annual Ramadan lecture held in Oro, Kwara state, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed, said that they were trying “reverse” democracy.
According to the Minister, Atiku and the PDP are trying to make the country ungovernable and overheat the polity.
In his words “As you are aware, a few days ago we raised an alarm that either by themselves or via their proxes the PDP and it’s Presidential candidate are doing everything possible to sabotage the Buhari led administration, generally overheat the polity and make Nigeria seemingly ungovernable.
“Of course you are aware of similar alarms that have been raised by the Police, military and DSS.
“Our interventions are based on credible evidence, and no government with that kind of evidence, of plans to subvert the power of states attack the nation’s economic life wire and generally unleash mayhem on the polity, will keep quiet.
According to the Minister all the security agencies are all alert and would not allow anyone to reverse our democracy.
“The security agencies are all alert to their responsibilities and will not sit by and allow anyone reverse the gains of our democracy under any guise”.
