May 29: FG declares May 29th as public holiday
The Nigeria’s Federal Government, has declared Wednesday 29th May as a work free day, in readiness of swearing in the President elect
Reports says that this, was made known by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Monday, in a statement which was signed by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mrs Georgina Ehuriah.
The Minister congratulated, President Muhammadu Buhari, on his re-election as President and he also Nigerians for the successful conduct of the 2019 general elections, which was widely described as free, fair and peaceful.
Dambazau said that the programs and policies of the coming administration are all geared towards improving lives of citizens, unity, growth and development of the nation, as it heads to the next level.
The minister expressed the conference that, with the collaboration of all Nigerians, that the nation would be transformed into a nation that would be envy of others.
He therefore wished the incoming administration a most fulfilling tenure and Nigerians a memorable inauguration day.
