Naira Marley: Naira Marley remanded in prison, pleads not guilty to the 11 count charges
The Federal High Court in Lagos, has remanded Nigeria’s popular music star, Azeez Fashola known as Naira Marley, over alleged credit card fraud
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has filed 11 count charges against the artist, before Justice Nicolas Oweibo.
Naira Marley has therefore pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
The case was thereby adjourned till the 30th of May until the hearing of his bail application and was ordered to be remanded in prison by the judge.
Naira Marley was arrested for alleged advance fee scam and other related cyber crime offences according to the statement issued by the EFCC.
The anti-graft agency filed 11 count charges against the artist, the charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19.
Naira Marley risks 7 years imprisonment if found guilty of the crime.
