Omo-Agege emerges Deputy Senate President

Senator Representing Delta Central, Ovie Omo-Agege, has been declared winner of the office of the Deputy Senate President of the 9th Assembly, having defeated Ike Ekweremadu

This is coming a few hours just after Ahmed Lawan defeated Ali Ndume to become the Senate President.

Lawan  polled 79 votes and Ali Ndume polled 28 votes.

Omo-Agege (APC senator) defeated his main opponent Ike Ekweremadu in a secret ballot voting.

Reports gathered that, Omo-Agege polled, 69 votes against Ekweremadu’s 38 votes,¬† to take over as the second in command in the 9th Assembly.
