Police confirms that Imo bomb blast kills three
The Imo state police command has confirmed that a bomb explosion which took place on Thursday claimed the lives of three persons
The Police Public Relations Officer, Imo state, Orlando Ikeokwu said that the explosion occurred in Eziorsu community in Oguta local government area.
In his words “It was an unexplored ordinance in a scrap dump.
“The bomb exploded killing three of them at the scene while one of them was beating the scrap iron in order to compress it.
Orlando also confirmed that the State police commissioner and his men had visited the scene of the explosion.
Orlando added “The commissioner of Police wish to use this medium to warn all members of the public to report any metal suspected to be an Unexploded ordinance or explosive, for possible examination, destruction and possible evacuation.
An eye witness also said that the explosion also affected people in the area due to the wave of the sound.
The PPRO identified the victims as; Elvis Ukado, Justice Adie and Kasiemobi Uzoma.
