The Presidential election petition tribunal will officially begin seating regarding the case of allegations against the All Progressive Congress and it’s candidate Muhammadu Buhari, by the People’s Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku Abubakar had alleged that the results of the Presidential election which favoured President Muhammadu Buhari be cancelled by the tribunal due to fraud .
Atiku Abubakar challenging the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari said he was the winner due to results from the INEC server, that he should be declared the winner.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has since declared President Buhari as the winner of the 2019 presidential election.
INEC has however denied the claims and said Atiku’s lawyer was unlicensed to practice in Nigeria.
A statement by the Court Of Appeal said the tribunal shall commence today May 8 by 9am in the morning.
The petition of the Hope Democratic Party and the People’s Democratic Party are to be looked into tomorrow.
