Transfer: Hazard finally moved to Real Madrid as Chelsea Director express sadness
Chelsea FC striker, Eden Hazard has finally moved to Real Madrid for a five year deal, this was after many speculations
The 28 year old Belgian player, would officially be unveiled on Thursday, after a £130 million deal (after all bonuses included).
Hazard has a year ahead to play for the blues in Stamford Bridge but he said it was his wish to leave the club, after scoring two goals for the blues in the Europa league finals against Arsenal.
In his words, Chelsea FC Director, Marina Granovskaia said “Although it is with sadness we say goodbye to Eden and we made it absolutely clear to him the club wished him to stay, we respect the decision he made to take a challenge in a different country, and follow his childhood dream of playing for Madrid.
“The memories he left with us will not fade, he provided all who made Chelsea play with great entertainment and many match winning contributions any for that we thank Eden enormously.
“He has been a model, professional throughout his stay at the club, a wonderful individual around and joy to work with. We look forward to welcoming him back to Stamford Bridge in the future.
Eden Hazard made 352 appearances for the blues, scoring 110 goals, he won two premier league trophies, FA cup and league club, he also had two Europa league trophies.
Hazard moved to Chelsea from Lille with the sum of £32 million.
This would make Hazard a second major signing for Real Madrid after Luka Jovic from Frankfurt was signed by coach Zinedine Zindane.
