The UEFA Champions League (UCL), have placed a two year ban on Manchester City.
The club was also fined €30m after being found guilty of committing serious breaches of the UEFA licensing code and Financial Fair play Regulations, the body announced.
UEFA in a statement said the club was overstating it’s sponsorship revenue in its account and the break-even information submitted between 2012 and 2016.
Adding that the club failed to cooperate with the Independent Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB).
The decision made by the Adjudicatory Chamber is subject to appeal at the Club Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
